About This Position

Cancer Researcher_ Immuno-Oncology

Clinical and translational research projects involving clinical trials and biomarker studies in the field of Immuno-Oncology, investigating the role of promising biomarkers in relation to disease risks, immunotherapeutic clinical benefits, mechanisms of resistance and treatment toxicity risks (including cytokine therapy, immune checkpoint inhibition and neoantigen vaccines).

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Is an MD or MD, PhD seeking 1-2 years of clinical and translational research experience
  • Would like to conduct research projects both independent and under supervision

Responsibilities:

  • Records, compiles, and analyzes experimental data. Generates presentation-ready processed data (e.g., graphs and tables) under appropriate supervision.
  • Learn research techniques that directly relate to the program’s scientific projects and goals
  • The Cancer Researcher will be responsible for assisting with cancer research activities as well as conducting independent research projects when appropriate under limited supervision.
  • Tasked with initiating, conducting, evaluating and reporting of clinical and translational cancer research studies under appropriate supervision.
  • Tasked with generating presentation-ready processed data (e.g., graphs and tables) related to cancer research projects under appropriate supervision.
  • Tasked with learning research techniques that directly relate to the program’s scientific projects and goals and applying these techniques to specific cancer research projects.
  • Interact closely with the supervising Investigator and other researchers within the Investigator research group and conduct relevant data background research including literature searches and reviews.
  • Participate in and contribute to the educational activities of the program to include but not limited to journal clubs, case studies, educational and research meetings, core lectures.

Credentials and Qualifications:

  • MD, Doctor of Osteopathy or equivalent degree required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of research methodologies in applied research.
  • Experience in initiating, conducting, evaluating and reporting of clinical/translational research studies is preferred.
