Dental Associates of Savage – Children’s is looking for a Licensed Dental Assistant (LDA) to join our fast-paced, fun, and supportive pediatric dental team. What Makes This Role Unique:

This position is focused exclusively on patients under the age of 20. You’ll work closely with our pediatric dentists and support team to provide high-quality care that’s both professional and playful. Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare children and teens for treatment with a calm, reassuring approach
• Select and set up appropriate instruments and materials based on each procedure
• Support the dentist through efficient 4-handed dentistry techniques
• Sterilize and maintain instruments and equipment following health regulations
• Perform non-surgical clinical tasks such as coronal polishing (if certified)
• Offer clear oral hygiene education and post-op care instructions tailored to kids
• Keep treatment rooms organized, stocked, and kid-friendly
• Assist with patient records, scheduling, and payment-related tasks when needed

What We’re Looking For:

• Current Minnesota Dental Assistant License (LDA)
• Experience working with children or in pediatric dentistry (preferred but not required)
• Strong understanding of sterilization protocols, OSHA/CDC standards, and dental instruments
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills—especially with young patients and families
• Organized, flexible, and able to adapt in a fast-moving environment
• Positive energy and a team-first attitude

Additional Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; graduation from an accredited dental assistant program a must.
• Additional certifications (e.g., coronal polishing, EFDA) are a plus
• Proficient in dental software and digital X-ray systems
