RN PD Registered Nurse (Per Diem) at Willis-Knighton Health System – Shreveport, Louisiana

We are seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse for our brand-new state-of-the-art 29-bed Emergency Department. It is a fast-paced, high-acuity Emergency Department with a steadily increasing annual admission rate. Our chest pain accreditation is just one emergency service that demonstrates our dedication to the patients we serve. Staff members will chart on an electronic documentation system designed exclusively for emergency departments. You will have the opportunity to work with board-certified Physicians who depend on your strong assessment skills, critical thinking and independent decision-making ability to safely expedite patient care. Unit clerks and ancillary staff are an intricate part of this professional team. Orientation is provided for experienced ED RN's, seasoned staff members who wish to cross train into emergency medicine and the "right" new graduate who exhibits the knowledge level, work ethic and motivation necessary to successfully care for our patients. Your orientation will be based on your experience and level of comfort. This position has varying hours and days depending on the need. ACLS and PALS are required certifications, but can be obtained through our Career Institute free of charge to our employees. Experienced staff are our first consideration and TNCC would be a plus!
