Fabrication Plant Operation Lead at Certified Enameling Inc – Pomona, California

The Plant Operations Lead will own the daily operations and performance of our Fabrication Division, working hands-on with production teams, engineering, scheduling, and other departments. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-precision manufacturing environment, and who knows how to lead people, improve processes, and deliver results.

You’ll be responsible for coordinating the entire fabrication workflow—cutting, forming, welding, and prepping—while ensuring alignment with downstream teams in coating, quality, and shipping.

Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day operations of the fabrication plant, including labor planning, production scheduling, and job tracking.

Coordinate across departments (Finishing, Quality, Sales, Admin) to ensure fabrication supports downstream demand.

Lead with a continuous improvement mindset, applying Lean manufacturing principles or other proven methods to reduce downtime and increase efficiency.

Maintain strong presence on the floor to mentor and motivate teams, identify issues early, and support shop-level execution.

Track operational metrics, identify bottlenecks, and implement sustainable fixes.

Champion safety, quality, and a culture of ownership throughout the division.

What You Bring
5+ years of operations or production leadership in metal fabrication or heavy manufacturing.

Experience overseeing or coordinating sheet metal or custom fabrication processes.

Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or industrial process improvement methodologies.

Proven leadership with the ability to bridge teams and departments for unified execution.

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
