About This Position

We are looking for a motivated and entrepreneurial Outside Sales Representative to grow our agriculture irrigation business across the Fraser Valley. You’ll prospect new clients, manage existing relationships, and drive project-based sales for pumps, spray, and drip irrigation solutions.

The ideal candidate is a sales-driven professional with strong problem-solving skills and a customer-focused approach. You are motivated by targets, able to work independently, and skilled at identifying needs, overcoming technical challenges, and closing deals within the agricultural sector.

Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prospect, Develop and implement strategic sales plans to expand our customer base and to help us gain market share across a given territory.
  • Conduct site visits, assessments, and consultations to understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate products and services.
  • Create a weekly calendar of your planned territory coverage to ensure efficient use of time and company expenses when covering the territory.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with ranchers, farmers, agricultural associations, and industry partners.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and quotations.
  • Negotiate sales agreements with customers, ensuring favorable terms for both parties.
  • Gain expertise in both spray and drip irrigation systems used for various Agricultural segments.
  • Gain knowledge in the pump industry to be able to help within your territory.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate project design, delivery, installation, and after-sales support.
  • Perform minor repairs and system adjustments as needed to ensure customer satisfaction and successful installation
  • Attend industry trade shows, exhibitions, industry events, and find new opportunities where new contacts can be made.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline progress using Microsoft Office and CRM Software
  • This position is based out of the Chilliwack Branch and reports directly to the Regional Sales Manager for ongoing support and direction.
  • This is a field-based role that requires regular travel throughout the Fraser Valley to visit customer sites, attend industry events, and conduct on-site assessments.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years of B2B or agricultural sales experience
  • Strong understanding of irrigation systems or willingness to learn
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Experience in CRM platforms and Microsoft Office for sales tracking and client management.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel across the East Fraser Valley

Possible Career Path: Sales Manager, Branch Manager, Major Account Manager.
