About the Role
This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic litigation team within a global law firm and gain meaningful experience while leveraging world-class resources. Dentons' Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice serves as trusted advisors to clients on a wide range of complex commercial litigation matters, including:
- Trade secret and unfair competition claims
- Construction litigation
- Environmental and land use disputes
- Trust and estate litigation
- Shareholder and partnership disputes
Key Responsibilities
As an integral member of the team, you will:
- Manage cases from inception through conclusion.
- Conduct factual investigations, research, and client communications.
- Draft memos, motions, briefs, pleadings, and discovery documents.
- Research applicable case law, statutes, and regulations.
- Prepare for and conduct depositions; argue motions.
- Handle all aspects of discovery, including e-discovery management.
- Assist in preparation for and participation in hearings and trials.
- Support business development and marketing initiatives.
Personal Attributes
- Highly conscientious and detail-oriented, able to manage a large caseload under tight deadlines.
- A self-starter with initiative, comfortable working independently yet collaborative in team settings.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear, actionable advice to clients.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities, ambition, and ability to motivate others.
- A track record of academic and professional excellence.
- Desire for increased autonomy, broad responsibilities, and diverse experience.
- 3–7 years of experience in business, commercial, or construction litigation.
- Superior written communication and drafting abilities, with proven experience drafting motions, pleadings, discovery, and concise legal arguments.
- Strong legal research skills.
- Must be licensed to practice law in Florida and in good standing with the State Bar.
