Job Title: Investment Funds Associate Attorney (New York)

Position Summary:
Talantage is seeking talented and driven associates to join our client's rapidly expanding Investment Funds team. This is a dynamic opportunity to work on sophisticated matters at the forefront of the investment management industry, within a collaborative and entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Advise on the formation, structuring, and operation of private investment funds, including private equity funds, hedge funds, private credit funds, real estate funds, hybrid funds, and other alternative investment vehicles.
• Assist clients with regulatory, compliance, and operational issues related to investment fund management.
• Engage directly with clients, providing counsel and strategic advice tailored to their business needs.
• Participate in business development initiatives and help grow the practice.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
• 3–6 years of experience in investment management and fund formation.
• Experience representing a range of fund types, including (but not limited to) private equity, hedge, credit, real estate, and hybrid funds.
• Interest or experience in retail alternative funds (e.g., BDCs, interval funds, and closed-end funds) is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and business development skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Admission to the New York Bar (or eligibility for admission).
• Must be willing to provide law school transcript.
