Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Associate Director in the Office of the President to support the team on principal briefings, event follow up, and executive relationship management. The ideal candidate has an understanding of international relations, a proven track record of relationship management, and expertise in the events and business industries. The role serves as a central node for information flow and supports the advancement of the principal’s day-to-day within the strategic growth framework of the organization. This position combines a wide range of responsibilities and is best suited to someone with a strong grasp of big-picture global politics and a keen interest in the details of supporting a principal. Business and/or government background preferred. This role is based in Eurasia Group’s New York office.
Core functions of the job include:Drafting and reviewing principal’s meeting prep materials and coordinating with teams across the firm for relevant inputs on client and policymaker briefingsWorking with the Office of the President to track and drive follow-up for department’s client engagement and commercial opportunity priorities across all aspects of the business (e.g. advisory, events, media, and any new ventures)Managing post event follow-up and other projects with president’s team and key stakeholders across the firmFacilitating internal processes to ensure principal’s account engagement is addressing client needsTaking the pen on correspondence and discussion documents to advance prioritiesProject management and executionAbility to help with scheduling coordination and logistics for president’s speaking engagements and meetings as needed Requirements:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in political science, international relations, business management, or another related fieldAt least 5-7 years of work experience in an international affairs, principal support, business management, and/or policymaking environmentProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software, and an ability to quickly learn new digital tools and databasesExceptional organizational and relationship management abilities, with acute attention to detail and follow-throughExperience with event planning and execution (academic, professional, or extracurricular)Knowledge across global political systems, with a keen interest in monitoring daily world newsExcellent written and verbal communication skills; strong research and synthesis abilities with efficient organizational skills that allow for delivery of high-quality work on deadlineHigh level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentialityAbility to work collaboratively within a fast-paced team that’s constantly adapting to evolving priorities.The constant pursuit of excellence – we seek candidates who, like us, set a high bar and pursue that level relentlessly across everything we do.Familiarity and ease working across multiple geographies and time zones Foreign language proficiency is a plus Must be eligible for employment in the United States and available to work in Eurasia Group’s New York office
The applicable base salary range for this role is $85,000 to $95,000The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis.
