Endo Procedural Tech Position Summary

The Endoscopy Technician is a person who has completed an endoscopy training process to function as a member of the Endoscopy team and reports to a registered nurse (R.N). The Endoscopy Procedural Technician functions in the procedure room to assist with room set-up, turnover and procedure details assisting the RN and physician. Additional tasks include scope reprocessing, room cleaning, and stocking as well as assisting with patient admission and discharge.

ENDO Procedural Tech Position Requirements

• Ability to read and communicate in the English language.
• Certified as Nursing Assistant by the Maryland Board of Nursing or;
• Operating Room Endoscopy Technician with documented on-the-job experience.
• Completion of the SGNA GI Associates Program as GI Technical Specialist within 2 years.
• 5 years of acute care experience preferred.
• Experience with computers is required.
