About This Position
Triangle Payroll Services is growing again. We are currently hiring for the position of Payroll Customer Service Rep. We are looking to hire a full-time person to work Monday - Friday in our South Hills office. The ideal candidate is detail oriented and able to move quickly between tasks. The individual will need excellent verbal and written communication skills. The ability to work as part of a team, embrace technology and change are all critical.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Maintain payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data
- Accurately keying all payroll related data necessary to process and meet processing schedules for clients
- Update payroll records by entering changes in salary, exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers
- Determine payroll liabilities by calculating employee federal, state and local income and social security taxes and employer's social security, unemployment, and workers compensation payments using computer software
- Compiling payroll data such as garnishments, vacation time, insurance and 401(k) deductions
- Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
- Maintain payroll operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed change
- Basic understanding of overtime rules, work weeks and paid time off plans
- Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed
- Process UPS/Mail
- Answer incoming phone calls

- Ideally 2+ years of professional payroll experience

*Microsoft Access
*Quickbooks (experience is a plus)
This is not a remote position. Pay will be based on job experience. Benefits and vacation time are offered.
