LPN or Medical Assistant - Fairmont Clinic in Fairmont, Minnesota at Windom Area Health

Windom Area Health is seeking an Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Certified Medical Assistant (MA) to provide support services to the Fairmont clinics. Duties include providing assistance rooming patients, telehealth visits, supporting and assisting the Scheduling department. Strong computer and organizational skills are essential with a dedication to quality care.

LPN candidate must have current MN LPN license. MA candidate must have CMA or RMA certification. One year of clinic experience and technical training preferred.

Duties include:

• Greet and assist patients, providers, staff, and visitors in a courteous manner, to ensure the clinic operates efficiently.
• Apply, manage and carry out Plans of Care to promote health and wellness for patients and families.
• Uses interactive communication skills with patients and families, peers, and providers to promote, evaluate and direct patient care and relationships with others.
• Maintains and promotes quality of care that is safe, reliable and patient centered.
• Appropriately carries out tasks delegated to them by management or providers, and assists and directs unlicensed personnel to provide direct patient care.
• Consistently acquires and maintains current knowledge in nursing practice by attending educational opportunities, in order to apply best practices and advance patient care.

Wage description: $20.95 - $32.23 per hour

EMPLOYMENT VARIABLES:

Position is generally scheduled for three (3) 10-hour shifts per week and two (2) 4-hour shifts every other weekend.
