Join MRPC: Build What's Next in Medical Technology
Make an impact. Grow your career. Shape the future of healthcare.
At MRPC, you'll do more than manufacture products. You'll help create technologies that improve and save lives around the world, maybe even someone you know.
With more than 100 years of manufacturing expertise, MRPC is a growing leader in medical device manufacturing, supporting advanced technologies like robotic-assisted surgery and next-generation healthcare solutions.
Here, you'll have the opportunity to work with advanced technology, solve meaningful challenges, grow your skills, and turn great ideas into action. We're investing in our people, technology, and facilities, and creating opportunities for talented individuals to grow with us.
The Role: Win the Business Behind Life-Saving Technology
Every MRPC seal and molded component starts with a customer who trusts us to get it right. As Business Development Manager, you'll win new medical device OEM customers, grow our key accounts, and own the full sales cycle from first conversation through quote, negotiation and program launch. You'll partner closely with Engineering, Quality and Operations to deliver precision rubber seals and molded components that meet demanding customer and ISO 13485 and FDA QMSR requirements.
What You'll Do
- Own the territory. Build and carry out a territory business plan that meets or beats revenue, bookings and margin targets.
- Open new doors. Identify, prospect and win new medical device OEM and Tier 1 customers through market research, networking, LinkedIn and digital tools.
- Grow the accounts that matter. Build key account plans, lead regular business reviews and get involved early in customers' new product development.
- Win the quote. Lead the request-for-quote process, partnering with Engineering and Estimating to deliver accurate, compelling proposals, and follow through to the order.
- Get the details right. Review new purchase orders and agreements so technical, quality and commercial requirements are clear before we commit.
- Be the customer's voice. Represent customers with Customer Service, Engineering, Quality and Operations to support program launches, validations and on-time delivery.
- Keep the pipeline sharp. Manage a qualified sales pipeline and keep forecasts, opportunities and customer activity current in the CRM.
- Know the market. Track trends, competitors and customer needs, and help shape marketing strategy, pricing and campaigns.
- Show up where customers are. Represent MRPC at trade shows, conferences and customer sites.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering and 5+ years of B2B technical sales or business development, ideally selling custom-engineered components to OEMs (equivalent experience considered)
- Medical device selling experience strongly preferred; molded rubber, silicone (including LSR) or plastic components a plus
- Medical device know-how: ISO 13485, FDA QMSR (21 CFR Part 820), validation and change control
- Technical fluency: comfortable reading engineering drawings and talking materials, tolerances and compression, transfer and injection molding
- A track record of hitting or beating targets through consultative, solution-based selling
- A confident negotiator and presenter who explains technical information clearly to engineering, purchasing and executive audiences
- Self-motivated, organized and strategic, with the drive to work independently
- Proficient in CRM systems (Salesforce or HubSpot), LinkedIn Sales Navigator and Microsoft 365; comfortable using data and AI tools
- Able to travel up to 40%, including overnight travel
