Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Translator to join our team at Gateway New Haven, Connecticut. The ideal candidate will have a background in port operations and heavy machinery, and be proficient in Pashto, Dari, and Arabic. The Translator will be responsible for accurately translating some documents, manuals, and with a strong emphasis on communications to support our diverse workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate communication between non-English speaking employees and management.
• Assist in the translation of training materials and safety guidelines.
• Provide interpretation services during meetings, training sessions, and client interactions.
• Ensure translations are accurate, clear, and culturally appropriate.
• Collaborate with various departments to support their translation needs.

Qualifications:

• Fluency in Pashto, Dari, and Arabic.
• Strong understanding of port operations and heavy machinery terminology.
• Proven experience as a translator or interpreter in a similar industry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and the target languages.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in translations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in translation or interpretation.
• Experience working in a port or logistics environment.
• Familiarity with industry-specific software and tools.
