Nurse Manager in San Antonio, Texas at University Health System- San Antonio

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform expert leadership skills in management of staff and coordination of patient care activities. Work collaboratively with all healthcare providers and non-health care providers. Serves as a mentor and role model for all staff. Reports to a Nurse Manager, Nursing Director or Administrative Director.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with current RN licensure in the State of Texas. BSN is required. A national certificate (e.g., CCTC, CCTN, etc.) in related fields are required. Three (3) years of recent, full-time hospital or clinical experience are required. Verification of course completion in accordance with all American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support and Health Care Provider guidelines is required.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
A current license from the Board of Nurse Examiners of the State of Texas to practice as a registered nurse is required. Must have a current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider or AHA BLS Instructor Provider card.
