Medical Technologist II in Milford, Massachusetts at Milford Regional Medical Center

Statement of Purpose:
Responsible for the testing of laboratory specimens and the reporting of results in all areas of the core laboratory. Automation and middle ware experience a plus. Follows laboratory policies and procedures and maintains quality control practices in the laboratory. In addition, controls additional duties to assist the department managers in areas of inventory, quality assurance, quality control, policy and procedure review, proficiency testing organization, technical competencies, and student mentorship. May function as department manager during temporary absences.

Qualifications:

Education: BS Degree in Medical Technology/Medical Laboratory Sciences or AAS in Medical Technology from an accredited school, MLS or equivalent.

Certification / License: MLT (ASCP) or MLS (ASCP) certification preferred

Experience: 2 years of working experience that has a high complex laboratory automation and basic computer knowledge required.
