ABOUT OUR ROLE

The Regional Director of Sales reports to the Corporate Director of Revenue Management. They are responsible for the development and management of group sales opportunities. They will manage the brand’s strategic accounts who deliver significant revenues across the West Region and market segments and represent Trailborn Hotel Management through a variety of sales initiatives, branded events, and partnership activations.

ESSENTIAL

FUNCTIONS

  • Achieve annual and quarterly sales targets for all accounts, inclusive of leisure transient, social group, and wholesale/tour via client engagements, both in person and digitally.
  • Develop annual strategic account plans detailing objectives, timelines, and sales methods and conduct bi-annual review meetings to identify opportunities and solicit for new business to optimize performance.
  • Generate new business for all hotels in the West Region portfolio through prospecting, participation in regional events and shows, and working closely with hotels to identify and develop potential new opportunities within the specified region.
  • Collaborate with team members to support relationships and assist in conversion across the West Region portfolio.
  • Organize, schedule, and lead client engagements including sales calls, tradeshows, discoveries (FAMs) and events to build top of mind brand awareness, uncovering new business for existing and new hotels.
  • Actively participate in industry organization(s) to enhance Trailborn Hotel Management positioning and reputation that aligns with assigned accounts and territory.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 5+ years in Sales selling multiple properties/brands with established relationships in the assigned accounts, region, or territory.
  • Ability to understand, analyze and interpret data related to STR, CRM, and other financial reports.
  • Expertise in leisure transient & group and wholesale & tour market segments.
  • Support the preparation of the monthly departmental P&L and manage in line with budget.
  • Knowledge of key influencers and history of demonstrating quick wins, to gain incremental business to the brand within first 90 days.
  • Strategic thinker with high EQ / emotional intelligence.
  • Self-motivated, organized, to achieve goals with minimal direct supervision.
  • Strong business acumen. Ability to analyze, interpret and understand financial data as it relates to sales performance. Owns book of business.
  • Develop strong business relationships within territory by understanding account needs, addressing sales priorities and requirements driving engagement and bookings based on sales strategies, tools and systems.

SCHEDULE

  • Hospitality demands a flexible schedule that may require extended hours as the business requires coverage including seasonality– on any day at any hour, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
