Security Guard for Sun Valley at Gibraltar Protection Inc – Sun Valley, California

We are seeking a dedicated Security Officer in the Sun Valley area. This position is a 11-hour shift. We are also looking for someone with experience in security guarding. The ideal candidate must be able to work for long hours, while being vigilant, professional, and capable of responding effectively to security concerns.

Key Responsibilities:

- Monitor site conditions to identify potential security concerns or safety hazards.

- Respond promptly to alarms and notify the police or fire department in case of emergencies, such as fires or unauthorized access.

- Verbally warn individuals of rule infractions and ensure compliance with property regulations.

- Allow authorized personnel to enter the property and monitor access points to maintain security.

- Monitor and enforce property removal policies to deter theft and unauthorized activities.

- Investigate incidents and prepare detailed reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities.

- Maintain a professional demeanor while assisting customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous manner.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Previous experience in security or a related field is preferred.

- Strong observational and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to remain calm and composed in emergency situations.

- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.

- Basic knowledge of security protocols and emergency response procedures.
