Business Transformation Advisory partners with healthcare organizations to define enterprise-wide strategy and align financial, clinical, and operational priorities to long-term objectives. This work spans enterprise and service line strategy, population health and value-based care models, long-range financial forecasting, and regulatory and alternative payment methodologies—helping leaders make informed decisions that drive sustainable growth, resilience, and system-wide performance improvement.
The Senior Associate position is a full-time position as a member of our consulting staffandwill support client engagements within our Integrated Healthcare Solutions team, primarily focused on value-based care and population health solutions. The Senior Associate will be an integral part of the team, assessing client opportunities and implementing the initiatives determined to be beneficial to the client. Training will occur on the job with frequent feedback to support development and growth.
Flexibility for travel (50-75%) is required for this position. Travel volume is dependent on project and client needs.
Responsibilities
Performs and synthesizes quantitative and qualitative analyses including performance, utilization, and outcomes data to identify trends, opportunities, and insights that advance value-based care and population health objectives
Conducts research on healthcare policies, payment models and best practices to inform strategies for improving quality and reducing total cost of care.
Leads the preparation and development of materials and supporting documentation for client initiatives, translating data and analysis into actionable recommendations
Maintains and enhances databases, spreadsheets, and analytic tools to support population health measurement, clinical performance tracking, and financial impact modeling
Applies appropriate methodologies (e.g., risk adjustment, attribution, quality measure analytics) and conducts research on best practices, policy, and emerging models to inform client strategies
Proactively identifies next steps, dependencies, and potential barriers on assigned workstreams, demonstrating increasing independence in managing deliverables
Conducts audits and validation of analyses, workflows, and operational processes through data review, interviews, and observations to ensure accuracy, identify variation, and surface improvement opportunities
Manages relationships with client representatives, ensuring clear communication, timely updates, and alignment on priorities and deliverables
Adapts communication and engagement style to meet the needs of diverse client stakeholders, from frontline teams to executive leadership
Contributes to a collaborative and high-performing team culture, demonstrating accountability, curiosity, and commitment to delivering high-quality results aligned with BRG’s mission to improve outcomes and value in healthcare
Qualifications
A minimum of 2-4 years of prior professional experience is required; Healthcare and/or consulting experience is strongly preferred.
Bachelor’sdegree with a focus in public health, healthcare administration, business administration, economics, finance, or other practice-related subjects is required; Master’s degree in a relevant field is preferred.
Strong capability with MS Excel is required. Knowledge and experience with other analytical software (e.g., SAS, SPSS, Stata, MS Access, MS SQL Server) is preferred. A willingness to expand those capabilities is required.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Desire to work within a team environment.
Senior Associate Salary: $85,000 - $115,000 per year
Candidate must be able to submit verification of his/her legal right to work in the U.S., without company sponsorship.
