This is a 3rd shift position offering a starting hourly rate of $34.00/hour, plus an additional $3.00/hour shift premium. Hourly pay is dependent on experience.

Valto is seeking an Maintenance Technician to support manufacturing operations at its Goshen, Indiana facility. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this role is responsible for performing routine electrical and mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and executing timely repairs to minimize downtime and enhance productivity. The technician will utilize expertise in industrial electrical systems, controls, and machinery to maintain a safe working environment while adhering to industry and company safety standards.
This position also supports predictive and preventive maintenance strategies, works closely with production and maintenance teams, and contributes to continuous improvement efforts to improve equipment reliability, extend asset life, and increase overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). The Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in ensuring manufacturing systems operate safely, efficiently, and optimally to support Valto’s operational success.
Key Responsibilities
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair electrical issues on manufacturing and production equipment
• Support continuous operation of automated machinery, conveyors and robotics
• Diagnose electrical failures using schematics, ladder logic, and diagnostic tools
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on motors, drives, sensors, panels, and control systems
• Install, wire, and modify electrical components for new equipment and process improvements
• Troubleshoot and support PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, servos, relays, and control circuits
• Respond quickly to production downtime and equipment breakdowns
• Partner with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability
• Follow OSHA, NEC, and company safety standards, including lockout/tagout procedures
• Accurately document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage in CMMS
• Assist with root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives (TPM, Lean, or Six Sigma)
Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or electrical certification preferred
• 2–5 years of electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems and machine controls
• Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and PLC ladder logic
• Experience with Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, or similar PLC platforms preferred
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and production schedules
• Knowledge of safety standards and electrical codes (OSHA, NFPA 70E)

• Ability to work independently in fast‑paced production environments
• Basic mig and fab welding
• Clear communication and teamwork skills
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
• Manufacturing plant environment with noise, heat, and moving equipment
• Ability to stand, walk, kneel, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to work at heights, in confined spaces, and around energized equipment
• Willingness to work weekends or overtime as needed to support production
