About This Position
This position requires experience and skills to perform a wide variety of general equipment & maintenance repairs. Mechanical experience is important. Other experience in general building trades is helpful. Responsibilities include providing service to rotary and piston filling lines and other general electrical, plumbing, equipment maintenance and area repairs by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform maintenance and repairs.
• Performs set ups and preventative maintenance on liquid filling equipment.
• Maintains, repairs and installs improvements for plants pneumatic system.
• Maintains, repairs and installs improvements for tanks and plant plumbing.
• Maintains and repairs pumps.
• Diagnose problems, codes, execute necessary repairs.
• Dismantles machines or equipment, replaces defective parts and motors, and adjusts feed mechanisms.
• Clears and lubricates machine parts such as shafts, pulleys, gears, and bearings.
• Replaces or repairs machine belts.
• Removes dust, dirt, grease, and waste material from machines.
• Bends and cuts conduit and wire, and drills holes in walls, floors, and ceilings for electrical connections.
• Connects wire to motors, fixtures, and other electrical equipment, replaces switches and fuses, and splices wire and insulates wire with friction tape.
• Bends, cuts, and threads pipe, cuts openings in walls, ceilings, and floors for pipes, and seals pipe joints with sealing compound.
• Cuts out and joins (welds or solders) parts for worktables, benches, shelves and other equipment.
• Rebuild and fabricate parts.
• Cleans work area, tools, and equipment.
• Understand and follow all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.
• Conform to all safety rules and use all appropriate safety equipment, including lockout-tagout requirements and wearing of all required PPE in designated areas, confined space safety, safe chemical handling, fall restraints, etc
• Performs other routine duties.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
3+ years of experience in process-oriented fluid manufacturing, warehouse/shipping operations and/or related industry.
Forklift and mechanical repair experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, write and communicate clearly.
MATHEMATICAL AND COMPUTER SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts using basic math skills (addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication) and percentages, areas, and volume.
Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Outlook & Word is a plus.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Maintain a valid Driver’s License and forklift certification.
