We are currently seeking a dynamic and strategic Vice President of Sales to lead our sales team and drive revenue growth across all North American markets. This is a key leadership position responsible for shaping and executing our sales strategy, building high-performing teams, and fostering strong customer relationships. The ideal candidate is a results-driven leader with a proven track record in sales management, a passion for mentorship, and the ability to scale success in a competitive environment.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead and manage the entire sales team across all Canadian and U.S. markets.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to drive growth, expand market share, and achieve revenue targets.
  • Provide clear direction, coaching, and mentorship to sales representatives, ensuring continuous improvement and performance.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to align sales initiatives with overall business objectives.

Business Development & Client Relations

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities that align with company goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Develop and negotiate contracts, ensuring terms align with company interests and operational capabilities.
  • Oversee and review sales activity reports and forecasts to ensure data-driven decision-making.
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and professional networking functions.

Operational & Administrative Responsibilities

  • Ensure the sales team maintains accurate and up-to-date customer records, tracking sales activities and potential leads.
  • Evaluate and approve sales strategies and business development deals before implementation.
  • Work closely with internal departments, including marketing and operations, to streamline sales processes and enhance customer experience.
  • Provide regular performance updates and recommendations to the executive team.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong understanding of CRM software and sales tracking tools.

Non-Technical Skills

  • Superior leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement sales strategies that drive growth.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills with a focus on long-term partnerships.
  • In-depth understanding of market dynamics, customer behavior, and competitive landscape.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and translate insights into actionable plans.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical decision-making.

Education & Experience

  • Post-secondary education in Business Management, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred but not required).
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in sales leadership, managing key customer relationships, and closing strategic deals.
  • Experience in the flooring, construction, or building materials industry is an asset.
