POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Monitor test operations in support of Patriot Air Defense Missile System testing including radar radiation, launch pad missile operations, and missile assembly operations. Ensures compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Monitors communications net during all test operations and provides applicable status to the Test Conductor or their representative. Assists in the coordination of test site support including fuel, POL, latrine, water requirements, and setup / placement of non-tactical ground support equipment. Maintains a chronological log of test events. Uses knowledge of Patriot Air Defense Missile System to perform job requirements.
Receives technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher level test control technicians. Work is spot-checked for accuracy. May be assigned other duties within his or her capabilities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum qualification requirements include graduation from a two-year resident course at a technical institute or three years of progressive experience in the specific field. Military training and experience with the Patriot Air Defense Missile System will be evaluated and allowed as qualifying. Must possess a valid driver’s license. Applicant selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and maneuver around weapons systems.
Work will include cross-utilization into other jobs as required. May require some overtime and/or weekend work.
