Title: Talent Acquisition Specialist

Supervisor: VP of Human Resources

GMH Associates is the parent company for the privately owned family of businesses that make up the GMH brand, GMH Communities and GMH Ventures.

GMH Communities is a vertically integrated real-estate company specializing in the acquisition, development, and management of exceptional living communities throughout the United States. GMH Ventures focuses on investing in companies well positioned for growth. We currently own and operate Futures Recovery Healthcare, a behavioral healthcare residential community in Tequesta FL, and Bryn Mawr Abstract, a title company in Newtown Square, PA.

Job Purpose: The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for attracting a broad and diverse pool of qualified applicants for all of the company’s vacancies. The primary focus is to implement an employment brand that attracts talent to support all levels within the company.

The Talent Acquisition Specialist will support the sourcing, prescreening, scheduling and overall process of moving a candidate to offer letter status. They will work closely with the VP of Human Resources and hiring managers.

Job Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business or a related field
  • PHR or SHRM – CP Certification preferred
  • One to three years of high volume and full cycle recruiting experience working with HR, Talent Acquisition teams and hiring managers in a specialist role
  • Familiar with all employment laws including, ADA, ADEA, EPA, FLSA, HIPPA, Title VII, and the Uniform Guidelines on Employee Selection Procedures
  • Experience with ATS implementation and administration
  • Experience using ADP WFN preferred
  • Expertise using Indeed and LinkedIn along with other platforms to source talent
  • Proficient in Boolean search techniques
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to travel within the company footprint
  • AIRS Certification or SHRM TA preferred

Essential Job Functions:

  • Job postings for all vacancies, and sourcing and screening for all applicants
  • Assist hiring managers with the recruiting process for all exempt and non-exempt roles
  • Comply with all federal, state and local employment laws
  • Establish and develop various recruitment networks through industry contacts, University relations, Associations and Trade Groups
  • Work closely with GMH Communities and GMH Ventures business operations teams to effectively source candidates for a wide range of positions in property management for student housing, multifamily, residential behavioral health and other operating companies
  • Collaborate with VP of Human Resources and HR Specialist to support processes for onboarding new employees to continuously improve the candidate’s experience
  • Assist the VP of Human Resources to maintain and provide reports on recruiting metrics and dashboard reports
  • Assist the VP of Human Resources in the implementation and ongoing execution of the company’s
  • Create and implement end-to-end hiring processes to ensure a positive experience for candidates
  • Create job descriptions and interview questions that reflect the requirements for each position
  • Identify the most suitable candidates by assessing their resumes, application, and references
  • A Maintain records of all materials used for recruitment, including interview notes and related paperwork, to share with key stakeholders
  • Attend job fairs and recruitment events to build a strong candidate pipeline
  • Performs all other duties and special projects as assigned

Typical Physical Demands: Regular use of hands to manipulate office equipment, phones and computer keyboard. Frequently sit and stand to do clerical work, including maintaining files, reports and binder logs. Regularly lift and move office supplies up to 20 pounds.

Typical Work Conditions: Work is performed in an office environment. Employee frequently interacts directly with staff members during the workday. Travel approximately 10% as necessary.
