Occupational Therapist - Inpatient

As an Occupational Therapist at Froedtert South, you'll help patients improve functional abilities, regain independence, and adapt to physical or cognitive challenges. You'll evaluate patients, develop individualized treatment programs, and work with physicians and the care team to support recovery and safe transitions.

What You'll Do

• Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and the care team.
• Provide therapeutic interventions designed to improve functional abilities, independence, and participation in daily activities.
• Monitor patient responses and progress, adjusting treatment programs as clinically appropriate.
• Educate patients and families on therapeutic activities, adaptive techniques, and strategies to support recovery.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records throughout the course of treatment.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, hospital staff, and other members of the care team.
• Assist with program development and maintain appropriate therapy equipment and supplies.
• Direct occupational therapy aides and students as assigned.
• Support patient safety, care coordination, and discharge planning.
• Follow organizational policies, procedures, and applicable professional standards.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy, as listed in the current Froedtert South posting.
• Current Wisconsin certification/licensure to practice as an Occupational Therapist.
• Current BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, or ability to obtain certification within 6 weeks of hire.
• Valid driver's license for the State of Wisconsin and/or Illinois, based on job assignment location.
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, documentation, and patient care skills.
• Ability to perform patient evaluations and treatments in an inpatient hospital environment.

Pay & Benefits

$38.00–$58.00 per hour. (Pay is based on experience).
