About This Position

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and oversee Catholic RE programs for all age groups
  • Create and submit an annual program plan (calendar, curriculum, budget)
  • Prepare classrooms and materials for all sessions
  • Monitor program quality and ensure effective instruction
  • Plan and coordinate:
    • Vacation Bible School (VBS)
    • Christmas programs
    • Religious education kickoff events
    • Volunteer appreciation events (up to 6 annually)
  • Organize and support additional chapel activities as approved
  • Recruit, train, and supervise volunteer teachers and staff
  • Maintain volunteer rosters and substitute coverage
  • Conduct at least two training workshops annually
Required Qualifications
  • Ability to manage a multi-faceted religious education program
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Experience working with volunteers
  • Basic computer proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Must obtain certification through the Archdiocese of Military Services (AMS)
Work Schedule
  • Average 20 hours per week (flexible based on program needs)
  • Hours may vary depending on events, planning, and program cycles
  • Must ensure full coverage of all scheduled programs
