Job Description
Architectural Fireplaces of NE, Inc. is seeking a motivated, mechanically inclined individual to join our team as a Fireplace Installer & Service Technician. We are a fireplace wholesale distributor serving builders, contractors, and homeowners. This role combines installation and service, giving you the chance to develop technical expertise and customer-facing skills. Prior fireplace experience is not required; training and certifications will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Install gas and wood fireplaces for residential and commercial projects.
- Perform service and maintenance on gas fireplaces, including troubleshooting, repair, and installing accessories.
-Provide excellent customer service and act as a liaison between the company and clients.
-Work safely on ladders, roofs, and construction sites.
-Maintain tools, equipment, and mobile devices for job tasks.
-Continuously learn and develop technical competency on our products.
Qualifications
-Mechanically inclined and able to perform tasks unsupervised.
-Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach.
-Strong written and verbal communication skills.
-Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in varied environments (indoors, outdoors, rooftops).
-Reliable, dependable, motivated, and a strong team player.
-Good driving record and ability to pass a background check and DOT physical.
-Mobile device proficiency and willingness to ask for guidance when needed.
Work Schedule
-Full-time, year-round 40–45 hours per week.
-Extended hours and some Saturdays may be required during peak season (November–January).
-Weekends generally free outside of peak season.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $45,000 – $75,000 annually ($21 – $36/hour) depending on experience.
