JOB DESCRIPTION:
The 2nd Shift Extrusion Quality Technician will be responsible for professionally supporting all aspects of Quality Control and Assurance for the Extrusion function.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Extrusion Inspection Technician will be responsible for inspecting product to the specifications on a drawing.
- Technician must be open to flexing into the following areas: Receiving Inspection and verification, Final Product Inspection and Batch Release certifications, Internal Audits, equipment support, and Quality Documentation and Records activities.
- Technician must show initiative taking on and completing projects including other assignments as requested
- Support the management team, production associates, and external vendors to ensure established product requirements are met.
- Help to ensure production and R&D schedules are met through following priorities and completing inspections.
- Support the established QMS/QA processes and as needed working with internal resources to recommend change to maintain high quality processes.
- Technician will be responsible for communicating issues found to the appropriate internal parties.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required or assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 1-2 years experience in a medical device manufacturing environment
- Competent experience with MS-Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)
- Competency with handheld dimensional inspection equipment
- Experience with operating automated vision system or programing is a plus (Mainly for OGP) preferred
- Competency performing Final Inspection of Extrusion Components
- Must be able to follow written instructions and procedures
- Must be self-motivated with a willingness to learn
- Must possess good organizational skills
- Must possess good verbal and written communication skills
