SALARY RANGE: $37.24 - $45.61
JOB SUMMARY:
The Systems Analyst supports the administration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of enterprise systems and applications to meet organizational and operational needs. This role combines frontline support with system-level ownership, focusing on both resolving issues and enhancing long-term system performance, usability, and reliability.
Working collaboratively with the IT department and business units, the Systems Analyst serves as a technical resource for diagnosing and resolving escalated issues, supporting implementations, and improving system adoption. This position acts as a bridge between end-user support and systems/network teams, while also contributing to the ongoing sustainability and effectiveness of technology solutions.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
- Analyze and troubleshoot technical issues across end-user devices, applications, and enterprise systems; collaborate with internal teams or vendors to resolve root causes and prevent recurrence.
- Monitor system and application performance; identify trends, address root causes, and implement improvements to enhance efficiency, stability, and user experience.
- Act as a functional owner for assigned systems or applications, ensuring ongoing maintenance, performance, updates, and overall system health.
- Serves as a coordination point between front-line support and senior-level Systems Administrators by escalating, tracking, and assisting in the resolution of system-related incidents and service requests.
- Assist with system implementations, upgrades, patching, and configuration changes, including testing and validation to ensure minimal disruption.
- Manage user accounts, access, and permissions across systems, ensuring compliance with security and access control best practices.
- Engage with departments to understand business processes and recommend system or workflow improvements that increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Participate in projects such as software deployments, system enhancements, and technology rollouts, including user readiness and post-deployment support.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, support procedures, and end-user guidance; provide training and clear communication to improve adoption and service consistency.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience supporting enterprise systems
- 1–3 years of experience in systems support, application support, or IT operations in an enterprise environment
- Experience supporting and troubleshooting enterprise platforms (e.g., Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS)
- Foundational knowledge of system concepts, including Active Directory, identity and access management, and system configuration
- Ability to analyze system issues and apply structured troubleshooting methodologies across integrated environments
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices, including access control and system hardening
- Strong documentation and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for end users and stakeholders
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or another related field
- Strong understanding of computer hardware and operating systems
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks
- Knowledge of wired/wireless networks and troubleshooting methods
- Experience with Jira, Cisco, Meraki, Microsoft, Genetec, ArcGIS, and AWS platforms
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Work is performed primarily in an office setting
- Lift and/or move more than 50 pounds of IT equipment
- Occasional non-traditional working hours, or days
- On-call rotation including evenings, weekends, and holidays
