Shipping Receiving Trucker at Crescent Cardboard Company LLC – Wheeling, Illinois

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Shipping & Receiving Forklift Driver to support our warehouse operations. In this role, you will be responsible for handling incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining accurate documentation, and ensuring timely, efficient delivery of products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily safety checks on all powered industrial equipment
• Unload incoming shipments and verify materials for accuracy, weight, and damage
• Stage and store materials in designated inventory locations
• Accurately complete all receiving and shipping documentation
• Label materials and shipments appropriately (stock tags, PRO labels, etc.)
• Load and unload trucks and containers (some manual handling required)
• Stage, verify, and prepare orders for shipment
• Confirm shipments and ensure all paperwork is complete prior to driver release
• Pull and verify FedEx and UPS parcels against shipping documents
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Assist in other warehouse areas as needed
• Work flexible hours to support business needs, including coverage for absences

Qualifications

• Previous shipping and receiving experience required
• Minimum 2 years of sit-down and stand-up forklift experience
• Manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred
• Basic math and measurement skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Basic computer proficiency
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work in a union environment

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs regularly
• Frequent standing, walking bending, and reaching throughout the shift
• Ability to safely operate forklifts and other powered equipment for extended periods
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks and manual handling as needed
