Position OverviewMission Critical Electronics (MCE) is seeking a Product Manager to drive the strategy, development, and lifecycle management of products within our portfolio. This role offers the opportunity to shape the future of power and electrical solutions used in mission-critical applications within markets such as work trucks, emergency vehicles, recreational vehicles, and marine.The Product Manager will be responsible for defining product strategy, identifying market opportunities, and leading the development and successful launch of innovative products and services. The role operates at the intersection of market insight, business strategy and technology working closely with Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Marketing to deliver products that create meaningful value for customers and the business.This role entails significant ownership of product families and market segments, with the opportunity to influence portfolio direction, lead cross-functional initiatives, and engage directly with customers, suppliers, and partners across North America and Asia.The Product Manager will typically manage one or more product families and serve as the internal and external subject matter expert and product champion for that product portfolio.Key ResponsibilitiesMarket Insight and Product StrategyDevelop and maintain a deep understanding of customer needs, market trends, and the competitive landscapeUse voice-of-customer methods to gather and synthesize insights from end users, OEMs, channel partners, and the sales organizationIdentify market opportunities and translate insights into product strategy and roadmaps Define compelling product value propositions aligned with MCE’s broader business objectivesProduct Development and LaunchLead the definition and development of new products and services, including next-generation and derivative offeringsOwn the product development lifecycle from concept through launch and commercializationLead cross-functional teams spanning Engineering, Operations, Marketing, and SalesDevelop and maintain business cases including revenue projections, margin targets, and ROI analysisPartner with Operations to identify and evaluate potential suppliers and support sourcing decisionsCollaborate with Marketing to define positioning, branding strategy, and go-to-market programsCoordinate the creation of marketing collateral, product documentation, training materials, and customer support resourcesProduct Lifecycle ManagementManage product performance, pricing strategy, and lifecycle planningDevelop forecasts, track performance metrics, and address deviations against targetsIdentify opportunities for product improvements, cost optimization, and roadmap expansionClearly articulate product value propositions to customers, channel partners, Sales, and MCE leadershipSupport Sales with product training, strategic customer engagement, and key account opportunitiesRequired Skills and CompetenciesStrong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear business valueProven ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams without direct authorityStrong executive presence and ability to engage effectively with customers, partners, and senior leadershipAbility to operate effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with multiple prioritiesStrong analytical and strategic thinking capabilitiesAbility to quickly develop technical fluency in products involving electronic hardware, embedded software, application software, and wireless communicationProficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and CopilotSelf-driven with a strong sense of ownership and accountabilityRequired Experience and Education5+ years of experience in product management, product development, or a related technical business roleExperience working with electronic hardware and software-integrated products; experience in power electronics is highly desirableExperience in work truck, heavy-duty truck, recreational vehicle, recreational marine, or emergency vehicle markets is advantageousDemonstrated ability to analyze complex information, synthesize insights, and translate them into actionable product strategiesExperience managing cross-functional initiatives and product launchesBS/BA degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field requiredMBA preferredTravel RequirementsTravel is expected to be approximately 10–20%, including travel within North America and Asia to support customer engagement, supplier collaboration, trade shows, and internal meetings.Compensation:
The budget range for this position is $100k-$130k CAD.
