Summary:

The function of Maintenance 1 position is to perform equipment maintenance and repair as directed by the Maintenance Manager. Maintenance personnel require authority from and report to the Maintenance Manager.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to the following:

1. Performs routine maintenance on company equipment and company vehicles as specified by Benoit’s Maintenance Program.
2. Trouble-shoots and repairs company equipment as directed by the Maintenance Manager.
3. Assists with the installation of new equipment.
4. Maintains a schedule when maintenance has been performed and when next service is due.
5. Adheres to Company safety, environmental, quality, and personnel policies.
6. Performs other duties as directed by the Maintenance Manager.

Qualification Requirements:

• Effective troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to safely and effectively utilize tools and maintenance equipment
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Effective verbal and written communication in English
• Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions in English
• Sufficient visual acuity to perform job duties safely and accurately
• Must have and maintain a clean driving record and pass motor vehicle report (MVR) checks
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship, now or in the future

Physical Requirements:

• Lift, move, adjust, push, pull, and carry objects to waist height up to 75 lbs. without assistance and up to 100 lbs. with assistance
• Lift, move, adjust, push, pull, and carry objects from waist to shoulder height up to 50 lbs. without assistance and up to 100 lbs. with assistance
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching for extended periods of time
• Frequent climbing of stairs and ladders
• Frequent use of power and hand tools
• Exposure to all outdoor weather elements, temperature extremes, and noise
• Ability to work in office, warehouse, production, or outdoor environments as required.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods of time without significant fatigue
