We are seeking a Warehouse Operations Specialist to join our team! This role is onsite in Byron Center, MI at our data center.
This Warehouse Operations Specialist is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods across the facility. This role coordinates inventory management, shipping and receiving, equipment maintenance, and safety compliance. The Warehouse Operations Specialist plays a critical role in maintaining operational continuity, reducing shrinkage, and ensuring all products are accurately tracked and stored. This position requires hands-on involvement with warehouse processes, including the safe operation of motorized pallet lifts, jacks, and other material handling equipment.
Functions/Responsibilities:
- Oversee End-to-End Warehouse Operations: Manage all inbound and outbound activities—including receiving, inspection, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping—ensuring accuracy, speed, and adherence to fulfillment timelines.
- Maintain Inventory Accuracy and Control: Use warehouse management systems (WMS) to maintain precise inventory records; lead cycle counts, annual physical inventories, and discrepancy reconciliation to ensure stock integrity and minimize shrink.
- Ensure Facility, Equipment, and Safety Compliance: Oversee proper operation, inspection, and maintenance of warehouse equipment; enforce OSHA and company safety standards, conduct regular safety audits, and drive a culture of zero incidents.
- Coordinate Cross-Functional Logistics and Documentation: Partner with procurement, logistics, and transportation teams to schedule inbound/outbound shipments and carrier activity; ensure all receiving and shipping documentation (BOLs, packing lists, manifests) is accurate and properly maintained.
- Optimize Warehouse Performance and Layout: Monitor key operational KPIs, produce performance reports, implement process improvements; manage warehouse layout, slotting, labeling, and housekeeping to optimize space utilization and workflow efficiency, while supporting special projects and operational initiatives.
What you bring to the team:
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management principles, shipping and receiving procedures, and supply chain fundamentals.
- Proficiency with WMS platforms, barcode scanning systems, and basic computer applications for reporting and communication.

Education:
- Associate's degree or 2+ Years Professional Experience in supply chain, logistics, business, or a related field, preferred.
Experience:
- 2+ Years Experience of warehouse operations experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
Required License(s)/Certification(s):
- Valid certification or demonstrated proficiency in the safe operation of motorized pallet lifts, powered jacks, reach trucks, and other warehouse lifting equipment; forklift certification preferred.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
This position may be performed in either a standard office setting or a home office environment. It requires prolonged periods of sitting, frequent use of a computer and other office equipment, and effective time management in a self-directed work environment. Occasional lifting of items up to 25 pounds may be required.
