Our associates are expert quality assurance professionals with extensive experience and local expertise, enabling us to represent our clients on demand and with greater speed and efficiency than our competitors.

We’re hiring for an E-Cert Mechanical Level 1 Inspector position in Hawthorne, CA. We are seeking multiple skilled inspectors to support inspection activities at our client’s facility on either first or second shift.

This role is responsible for reviewing e-Cert packages, validating inspection and quality documentation, identifying discrepancies or “escapes,” and ensuring compliance with customer and quality requirements.

The ideal candidate will have experience in quality inspection within aerospace or manufacturing environments, including inspection documentation, e-Certs, source inspections, or data package review. Candidates should be able to validate established criteria independently and perform dimensional inspections with minimal guidance. GD&T knowledge is preferred.

If you have a strong attention to detail and a passion for quality, we’d love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:
  • Review completed e-Cert packages for hardware components, subassemblies, and final assemblies
  • Verify inspection records, test results, certifications, and nonconformance documentation for accuracy and completeness
  • Ensure required approvals, signatures, timestamps, and workflow steps are properly completed
  • Identify missing, incomplete, or incorrect documentation entries
  • Identify and document discrepancies, errors, and quality escapes within e-Cert packages
  • Categorize findings based on severity and potential product impact
  • Communicate findings to Quality and Engineering teams in a timely manner
  • Ensure e-Cert documentation aligns with build plans, specifications, and quality requirements
  • Verify traceability of inspection and test results to associated hardware and configurations
  • Support compliance with QMS standards, internal procedures, and customer specifications
  • Participate in quality review discussions and corrective action activities as needed
  • Recommend improvements to e-Cert workflows, documentation practices, and upstream training processes

    Generate reports summarizing:
  • Number of e-Certs reviewed
  • Errors and escapes identified
  • Turnaround times
  • Defect trends and process observations
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives through data-driven feedback
Required Qualifications:
  • Experience with e-Certs, inspection records, data packages, or source inspections
  • Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings, specifications, and industry standards
  • Ability to perform inspections independently with minimal guidance
  • Strong attention to detail and defect identification skills
  • Comfortable learning new technology and software systems
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and digital documentation systems
  • Must pass a background check
  • Must be ITAR compliant and a U.S. Citizen
