Summary

While performing duties related to St. Clair Hospital, this position is responsible for assisting pharmacist(s) in preparing and distributing medications and maintaining patient records. Works under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.

Minimum Qualifications

1. High school graduate or equivalent.
2. Fundamental understanding of personal computers, keyboarding skills, and familiarity with the Windows operating system.
3. Completion of one of the following:

1. pharmacy technician training program
2. pharmacy technician certification
3. six months of pharmacy technician experience
4. six months of working as a Pharmacy Associate with St. Clair Hospital
5. two years of a pharmacy college or an accredited program leading to transfer into the third year of a pharmacy college

Preferred Qualifications

1. Prior experience as a pharmacy technician.
2. Certification as a pharmacy technician.
