Salary Range
$110,000-$140,000
Hybrid/Remote - Primarily remote but would report to Baltimore and Bethesda locations once a month.
Job Description
The Contracts Specialist is responsible for building strong relationships with external customers and working closely with internal stakeholders and company leadership to drive success in our Contracts Department by writing, reviewing, negotiating, and tracking company agreements including Non-Disclosure Agreements, Teaming Agreements, and contracts. The Contracts Specialist is responsible for the entire contract lifecycle from supporting proposals through close out documentation.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Drafting, negotiating, interpreting, and managing complex contractual agreements to include Non-Disclosure Agreements, Teaming Agreements, and FFP, T&M, and Cost Reimbursable contracts
• Interpreting and evaluating terms and conditions, assessing risks to the company and communicating findings to management
• Issuing requests for proposal and drafting and negotiating subcontracts, to include flow down terms and conditions
• Submitting timely and accurate reports such Contractor Manpower Reporting and Subcontracting Reports
• Responding to requests for information from the US Government including contract audits, CPARS, etc.
• Communicating with finance and accounting to ensure billing accuracy
• Working closely with program managers to ensure compliance with contract requirements and successful contract completion
• Maintaining shared files and databases with contract documents and correspondence
Requirements:Requirements
• 5+ years’ experience in drafting, negotiating, and administering contracts with the Department of Defense and other US Government customers and prime contractors
• FAR and DFARS knowledge
• The ability to obtain a US Security clearance
• Proficient user of modern digital office tools
• The ability to work independently and as party of a team
• The ability to write formal business correspondence
• Excellent communication, collaboration, engagement, and diplomacy skills
