Position: Lab Technician - Oral Surgery/Dental
Location: Center for Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery (COMS) | Freehold, NJ (with travel to other locations as required)
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Dental 3D Printing Lab Technician to support our oral surgery team by operating and managing SprintRay 3D printing systems and related digital workflows. This role is key in producing accurate, same‑day surgical guides, models, splints, and other printed devices that directly support high-quality patient care.
The ideal candidate is tech‑savvy, quality‑focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot SprintRay 3D printers, curing units, and ancillary equipment
- Prepare, manage, and print digital case files for surgical guides, models, and other devices
- Perform post‑processing tasks including washing, curing, trimming, and finishing printed parts
- Utilize CAD/CAM and digital design tools (e.g., SprintRay Cloud Design, RayWare, Exocad/3Shape if applicable)
- Interpret digital prescriptions and collaborate closely with surgeons and clinical staff
- Monitor materials, maintain resin inventory, and perform routine calibration and equipment upkeep
- Ensure high-quality, accurate, and timely output for clinical use
- Support digital scanning and file management workflows
- Follow all safety, sterilization, and quality-control protocols within the lab environment
Qualifications
- Experience with 3D printing or dental laboratory technology preferred (SprintRay experience a plus)
- Strong computer skills and willingness to learn new software
- Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with equipment and tools
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to precision
- Good manual dexterity for finishing and adjusting printed components
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a clinical setting
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
