Accounting Assistant at Pajarito Powder – Albuquerque, New Mexico

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Assistant to support our finance team with day-to-day accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will assist with maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring accuracy in all financial documentation.

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
• Support payroll processing and expense reporting
• Respond to vendor and internal inquiries regarding financial matters
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting regulations

• 1–3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience (entry-level candidates may be considered if enrolled in Community College or University)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices

Preferred Skills

• Experience with data entry and financial reporting
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
• Familiarity with an ERP a plus
