DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
-
The Office of Academic Affairs provides leadership for Samaritan Health Services academic departments including post-graduate training programs, continuing medical education and library services; and works in collaboration with those supporting the educational needs of our medical staff. The office is responsible for academic strategic planning, faculty recruitment and development, course evaluation, academic budget planning and management, development and implementation of academic policies and assessment of educational resources.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS

Current enrollment in an approved Master's level Psychology program required.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

Psychology - Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation.

Adaptability/Flexibility - Ability to respond quickly and appropriately to urgent medical situations that may arise with high risk or diverse patient populations. Ability to adjust actions in relation to others and adapt treatment to offer best possible care to patients.

Confidentiality - Knowledge of State and Federal (HIPAA) laws pertaining to confidentiality of protected health information. Ability to comply with laws and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
