Refrigeration Technician (Carrier & Thermo King Specialist) at Gabrielli truck sales – The Bronx, New York

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Refrigeration Technician to join our team at a busy commercial truck dealership. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ hands-on experience working with Carrier and Thermo King transport refrigeration systems. This position is responsible for diagnosing, servicing, and repairing refrigeration units on commercial trucks and trailers.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot Carrier and Thermo King refrigeration systems

• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and installations on reefer units

• Inspect components, such as compressors, evaporators, and electrical systems

• Perform refrigeration system recovery, evacuation, and recharging

• Ensure work is completed to manufacturer standards and customer expectations

• Maintain accurate service records and work orders

• Provide clear communication with service advisors and customers

• Adhere to all safety and environmental regulations

• Minimum 5 years of experience working with Carrier and Thermo King transport refrigeration units

• EPA 608 Certification (Type II or Universal) preferred

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

• Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills

• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality work

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• OEM training or certification with Carrier and/or Thermo King

• CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) a plus

• Familiarity with diesel engine systems and trailer repair

• Basic computer skills for diagnostic tools and software
