Job Summary
The Joint Course Manager (JCM)/Joint-Network Reconnaissance & Design (JNDC) serves as the lead instructor for all JNDC courses, with direct responsibility for cadre development and training, scenario development, course curriculum, and course review. This role is also responsible for seamlessly integrating JNAT processes into the JNDC curriculum and serves as a JNAT Instructor and Alternate JNDC Instructor. The JCM/JNDC provides monthly updates to the JNAT-PM and weekly updates to the JCM Site Lead, collaborating closely with the JCM/JNAT to ensure alignment of all training objectives.
Specific Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead instructor for all JNDC courses.
- Direct responsibility for cadre development and training, scenario development, course curriculum, and course review.
- Seamlessly integrate JNAT processes into the JNDC curriculum.
- Provide monthly updates to the JNAT-PM and weekly updates to the JCM Site Lead.
- Serve as a JNAT Instructor and collaborate closely with the JCM/JNAT to ensure alignment of all training objectives.
- Safeguard all government equipment and classified documents, ensuring their security at the end of each work period and taking appropriate measures to prevent damage or loss.
- Travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations as directed by the customer.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the JNAT-PM or JPC Site Lead.
- Develop curriculum, syllabi, and training plans.
- Serve as exercise team lead during both JNDC and JNAT classes.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of four years of SOF instructional experience.
- Graduate of the Army Basic Instructor Course, Small Group Leaders Course, and Instructor Evaluators Course.
- Completion of the Network Development Course.
- Strong understanding of the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) framework and its practical application in military training environments.
- At least ten years of experience within the SOF community, with deep expertise in Irregular Warfare (IW) and Special Warfare Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures.
- Familiarity with current and emerging SOCOM and DOW directives and policies relevant to Operational Preparation of the Environment (OPE), Preparation of the Environment (PE), and IW.
- Practical experience operating in an IW environment, preferably within an ODTAAC.
- Hands-on experience working with U.S. DOW, other government agencies, and foreign governments.
- Prior experience teaching armed services personnel and conducting formal courses via Mobile Training Teams (MTTs).
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Prior experience as a course manager within TRADOC or USAJFKSWCS.
- Completion of the Advanced Special Operations Techniques (ASOT) Managers Course.
- Physical Requirements and Work Environment
- Military training environment, classroom, and field settings.
Travel
- CONUS and OCONUS travel as directed by the customer.
