Tamwood also offers English language and study & work programs in Toronto and Vancouver and operates working holiday and volunteer programs abroad for Canadian youth under the Government of Canada’s International Experience Canada program.

Tamwood International Camps offers young people between the ages of 7 and 17 the chance to learn English in a welcoming, fun environment as well as the option to try activities like sports, arts & crafts and more. Our campers will enjoy sightseeing excursions, dance parties, talent shows, adventure races, and other events guaranteed to be fun! Campers will develop new skills like decision making, independence, and the ability to try new things. Campers will make friends from around the world and create memories that will last a lifetime.

The Role

Director of Strategic Growth & Partnerships (DSGP)

Department: Tamwood International Camps

Location: Vancouver or Toronto
Job Type: Full-time, Year-Round

The Director of Strategic Growth & Partnerships leads Tamwood’s strategic initiatives, driving business growth, partnerships, and revenue expansion. This role requires a visionary leader to execute high-impact strategies, optimize partnerships, and expand Tamwood’s market presence.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Growth & Expansion

  • Lead business development, partnerships, and revenue diversification initiatives.
  • Develop and execute long-term growth strategies for Tamwood’s youth programs.
  • Identify and implement new revenue opportunities.

New Location Development

  • Conduct research and feasibility analysis for new camp locations.
  • Negotiate contracts with universities, property owners, and venue partners.

Operational & Cross-Functional Support

  • Support the Youth Programs team during peak periods.

Monetization & Revenue Innovation

  • Develop strategies to maximize revenue and optimize profitability.

  11. International Summer Camp Operations & Compliance – Preferably experienced in establishing and operating junior summer centres on an international scale for example, the US And UK.
  12. Residential Summer Camp Experience – Experience with residential summer camps is a key asset.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality, Education Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) is an asset.
  • Experience: Minimum 7-10 years in strategic growth, business development, or partnerships within the education, travel, or hospitality sectors.
  • Proven track record in developing and executing expansion strategies for youth programs, summer camps, or similar initiatives.
  • Experience in residential summer camp operations and familiarity with their unique logistical and regulatory challenges.
  • Understanding of, or direct experience with, residential summer camps.
  • Strong background in negotiation and contract management with venue partners, universities, and property owners.
