About This Position

Job Overview:

Responsible for scheduling appointments.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School Diploma
  • Three to five year office experience preferred, good organizational and communication skills required
  • Computer skills required

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of medical/dental terminology a plus but not essential

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Per Diem as needed
  • Shift- 8:00am- 4:00pm

Essential Functions:

  • Answers the telephone courteously and in a timely manner
  • Demonstrates the ability to enter Patient’s demographic; insurance information; computer systems (i.e.Scheduling.com) accurately & timely
  • Demonstrates the ability to verify Patient’s Insurance Benefits, advises patient to obtain appropriate Insurance referrals.
  • Demonstrates and maintains the current knowledge of Insurance Companies, State & Federal Healthcare regulations and requirements
  • Review all work for accuracy and compliance with Hospital, State and/or Federal regulations. Maintains 99% or more accuracy rate
  • Informs manager of problems, which may need immediate attention.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned
