Product Manager
Job Summary:
Duties/Responsibilities:
Oversee the development of Lectric eBikes in assigned categories.
Responsible for creating and maintaining the line logic in the assigned categories, including SKU information, bike model BOMs, preliminary forecasting, cost targets and key features/benefits.
Travel to Asian suppliers for on-site product development and manufacturing conversations. (1-2 trips per year)
Travel to partners, tradeshows, and consumer events to research and track market trends. (2-3 trips per year)
Work with Marketing Team and Operations Team to successfully launch new product
Other duties as assigned by the Director of NPD, including market research, sales analysis etc.
Required Skills/Abilities:
5+ years of bicycle industry experience overseeing a product line's life cycle, anticipating problems, and proactively developing solutions
4+ years' experience in product development from concept to commercialization, including design, engineering, manufacturing, and quality
This individual must have a demonstrated work history of team collaboration and the ability to make their teammates feel valued.
Must be able to separate what they think versus what is needed by the market.
Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
Display strong organizational skills and be able to handle multiple tasks and manage priorities in a focused by flexible manner.
Must have a great attention for detail.
Be a master of Excel and data management.
Display strong mechanical proficiency with bikes.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor Degree in marketing, engineering, finance or communications.
5+ years of working in bicycle industry (IBD, Manufacturer of bicycles or components)
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 65 pounds at times.
