About This Position
The Senior Director provides leadership, direction and management of the programs and services for Diagnostic Imaging, Cardiovascular and Neurology, emphasizing the delivery of quality, safe, and cost-effective patient care within an environment fostering clinical excellence and customer service in a manner that supports the goals of the Medical Center, while meeting federal and state regulations and practice acts. This position is responsible for overall business development of the areas under her/his leadership using sound management principles to support business development initiatives. The Senior Director will develop and foster collaborative relationships at all levels of the organization including with the medical staff. S/he will promote interdepartmental, intercampus, and intercompany collaboration and cooperation while considering the complexity of integrating strategic priorities of growing the business using the most advanced technology and through the introduction of new diagnostic testing. The Senior Director will collaborate with the Manager of the Cath Lab to provide technologist resources for the department. The Senior Director will ensure staff compliance with all regulatory requirements including but not limited to: Joint Commission, Nuclear Regulatory Commission, State, Federal and Local laws, standards, and protocols. The Senior Director may also be responsible for direct patient care in her/his discipline.
Qualifications/ Experience:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology, Business, Healthcare Administration or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
Certification / License:
-
Current or past registry as a technologist and CRA preferred.
Experience:
• Five years of progressive management experience in diagnostic imaging
• Excellent coaching, conflict resolution and mentoring skills
• Ability to deliver effective feedback in a positive and constructive manner
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment, and drive employee engagement and teamwork
• Proven ability to take initiative and build strong and productive personal relationships
• Demonstrated ability to conceptualize and drive performance and process improvement initiatives
• Strong presentation skills and ability to present at all levels of the organization
• Ability to develop and foster relationships with both internal and external clients, medical staff and other clinicians
• Working knowledge of reimbursement and the insurance industry requirements
• Ability to formulate and execute strategic plans for the business;
• Superior communication skills; skilled listener and encourages direct, open, and honest conversation keeping all staff apprised of appropriate information
• Creative problem solver with the willingness to take initiatives in leading change as well as the ability to effectively manage change
• Must have background or knowledge with applicable regulations/guidelines and/or regulatory agencies to include but not limited to: OSHA, FMLA, ADA, Workers’ Compensation, CDC and Joint Commission
• 5+ years of direct management experience including dealing with complex issues or equivalent
• Excellent writing skills and demonstration of good project and people management skills are required.
