Pacific Rim Land, Inc., a sister company to Goodfellow Bros (GBI)., is a private real estate investment, development, and management company founded in 1988. With offices in Hawaii and Washington, Pacific Rim Land and its affiliates invest in a variety of real estate assets, including residential, hotel, retail, and vacant land, primarily in Hawaii and the U.S. West Coast.

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Specialist to join our team. This role will primarily be responsible for managing and overseeing the timely collection of outstanding customer invoices, ensuring accurate recordkeeping, and supporting the company's financial and investment operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external customers to resolve billing issues and discrepancies. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment while contributing to the overall efficiency of the Pacific Rim Land, Inc. team.

Essential Functions

  • Prepare monthly property management journal entries
  • Bill, receive, and journal revenue for property investments
  • Prepare and pay monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual GET & BNO tax reports
  • Prepare and maintain miscellaneous company financials and general journal reports
  • Post and reconcile cash receipts and miscellaneous deposits.
  • Research and solve payment discrepancies.
  • Assist in collection calls and the updating of A/R credit notes to inform others of progress
  • Create and deliver miscellaneous A/R invoices
  • Create monthly A/R financial reports
  • Record distributions & contributions for multiple private equity and real estate investments
  • Any other duties and projects as requested by management

Required Education, Experience, and Technical Knowledge

  • Candidates must have the legal right to work in the US without employer sponsorship.
  • Two or four-year degree in accounting or a related field preferred.
  • Prior experience in accounts receivable, payable, or basic accounting required.
  • Must have experience with MS Office Suite.
