General Production Worker in Benton Harbor, Michigan at Linacast, Inc.

Job Summary: Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the General Production/ Finish will process parts per customer requirements. We are seeking candidates interested in hands-on roles across several production areas, including LPI, Casting, X-Ray, and Foundry.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Process castings through automated finish cell per job specific work instructions.
• Load saw fixture for gating and riser removal.
• Visually inspect casting per customer requirements while maintaining production flow.
• Perform audits and gage parts when required.
• Record scrap and/or production information into Plex.
• Recommend improvements for completing tasks and/or finishing improvement.
• Maintain work area keeping it clean from sand.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Must be able to read and understand work instructions.
• Must be able to write and complete required paperwork and enter information into Plex system.
• Must have basic math skills - add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
• Must be able to communicate effectively.
• Must be able to rotate and perform all positions within finishing cell.
• Must be team-oriented, able to problem-solve and troubleshoot.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience working in manufacturing preferred.

Work Environment:

• The job works in conditions with constant exposure to noise, odors, dust, drafts and chemicals.
• May include seasonally hot and humid conditions for extended periods of time.
