About This Position

POSITION SUMMARY
-
Monitors member workout areas to ensure that member needs are met, that safety issues are addressed, and that equipment is properly utilized. Cleans and maintains fitness equipment. Provides support to the Health Fitness Specialist with member evaluations and orientations. Leads exercise classes and serves as a Group Exercise Instructor, if qualified.

EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS, TRAINING and EXPERIENCE:
-
Minimum Required:
-
Student currently enrolled in a degree program in a health/fitness related field, or strong interest and experience in fitness.

BCLS certification; recertification required annually.

Valid NC Driver's license and access to use of an automobile.

CPR certification required.

Preferred:
-
Certified by the American College of Sports Medicine, or the recognized equivalent, as a Group Exercise Instructor or other fitness specialist.
