Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable Specialist to join our growing industrial construction team. This role is responsible for managing the full-cycle accounts payable process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company policies and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction accounting and the ability to communicate effectively with vendors, project managers, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process high-volume invoices accurately and efficiently
• Match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices for proper documentation
• Ensure timely payments to vendors in accordance with agreed terms
• Maintain organized and up-to-date vendor files
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Assist with month-end closing procedures related to accounts payable
• Communicate with vendors and internal staff regarding payment status and inquiries
• Support audit requests and provide necessary documentation
• Monitor and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of accounts payable experience, preferably in the industrial construction industry
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and AP processes
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• High level of integrity and professionalism

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with job costing or construction-specific accounting systems
• Familiarity with lien waivers, subcontractor payments, and compliance documentation
