Description:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our healthcare team. The CMA is responsible for providing high-quality, direct pediatric primary care and supporting healthcare providers through clinical responsibilities in a professional and efficient manner. This role requires proficiency in routine clinical procedures, strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient center-centered approach in a fast-paced medium-sized outpatient primary care pediatric practice.

Certified Medical Assistant Essential Responsibilities:

Obtain and record patient medical histories and vital signs

Prepare pediatric patients for examination and assist during exams and procedures

Perform point-of-care testing, specimen collection, and lab preparation

Administer immunizations to patients of all ages in accordance to the American Academy of Pediatrics recommendations

Prepare, disinfect, and maintain examination and treatment rooms

Support compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and all healthcare regulations

Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient care

Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Certified Medical Assistant Required Skills/Abilities:

Solid understanding of immunization practices

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally

Proficient in a variety of administrative tasks including documentation and records management

Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to take initiative and demonstrate leadership when needed

Familiarity with medical terminology and electronic health record systems (eCW)

Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion

Adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic fast-paced environment

Committed to providing exceptional patient care and customer service

Demonstrates the ability to meet performance goals and deadlines consistently

Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent required

One year of prior experience in a medical setting preferred

Certification or Registration as a Medical Assistant
