Position Summary

The Residential Coordinator supports the day-to-day operations of assigned homes. This role provides hands-on leadership to DSP teams, helps ensure homes are staffed and stable, validates required documentation, supports training and onboarding, and coordinates household operations (inventory, transportation coordination, maintenance requests) to maintain a safe, compliant, and person-centered environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Direct supervision and leadership of DSP I and DSP II staff, including day-to-day oversight of staffing coverage, coaching and performance feedback, reinforcement of person-centered practices, and accountability for policy adherence, documentation accuracy, and quality service delivery within assigned residential settings.
  • Support day-to-day operations of assigned home(s), including routines, household inventory, menu planning, and transportation coordination.
  • Ensure high-quality care for individuals served by overseeing daily support activities, scheduling medical and personal appointments, and promptly communicating any health or medication changes to the clinical team and AD.
  • Provide direct care coverage as needed and ensure continuity of supports during staffing gaps.
  • Submit and track maintenance requests; complete weekly home visit guides/house audits and follow up on the completion/ resolution of items identified.
  • Support onboarding/on-the-job training; ensure training checklists and competency steps are completed and returned per process.
  • Validate required documentation (daily notes/service logs, MARs, data sheets, vehicle logs, timesheets) is accurate and submitted on time.
  • Manage clients’ use of personal funds and maintain accurate, compliant supporting documentation in accordance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct and document routine home safety drills (e.g., fire drills) and validate life safety standards are followed according to Company policy.
  • Serve as a first-line point of contact for urgent home-level issues and respond to unexpected events/emergencies per on-call expectations when assigned.
  • Support quality improvement efforts and ensure standards of care are met.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; additional education preferred.
  • Valid state driver’s license.
  • IDD experience preferred (recommended: 1–2+ years).
  • Strong organization, follow-through, and documentation skills; ability to operate basic office and computer equipment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work.
